Why Make It Adjustable?
Research
We created a Reddit forum and talked to parents to conduct bottom-up research. We also talked to bike shops and bike company owners to conduct top-down research.
Bottom-Up
Kids under the age of 6 wont be big enough to use rim brakes.
Single-speed bikes are better than geared bikes.
The biggest complaint from the forums was the weight - the lighter, the better.
People don’t want to spend $500 for their kid’s bike if they are going to outgrow them.
They also don’t want to buy a cheap box bike for quality purposes
Top-Down
The global kids' bicycle market was valued at approximately $13.31 billion in 2023 and is projected to grow at a CAGR of 10.7% from 2024 to 2030.
Bike type
Balance bikes
Training wheel bikes
Pedal bikes

Key Features
Expandable Feature
Our bike is thoughtfully engineered and designed with a frame that expands as the child grows over this 8-year development stage. Using a telescoping mechanism inspired by engineering principles used in tripods and adjustable gym equipment, the frame of the LyfeCycle bike can be expanded to meet the child’s needs. To ensure safety, this technology is reinforced with precision locking joints to maintain structural integrity and rider safety at every size setting.
